Meet the Team

Ian Bugg - Project Manager


Ian, a project manager who has a background in retail. Has previously worked in the store and logistics side of marks and Spencer retail operations. Ian has worked with TRS since 2018, residing either at the office and warehouse operation on the refrigeration refurbishment and delivery of retail and refrigeration equipment. Qualified with the SSTS retail project management certification, Ian is experienced in running sites all over the UK whether that is for a single installation or removal or for projects with a larger scope be that complete or partial clearance or installation to a planned or sometimes immediate / urgent requirement.

New product lines have required Ian to manage complicated handling of bulky and heavy equipment both into and out of a variety of different scale environments. Ian was the project manager for the clearance of all waste from an empty 8 floor store in Liverpool city center recently. This most challenging project in a central pedestrian area, needed 300T of waste & combustible fittings to be moved from this prime site that had fallen into a state of dilapidation. TRS took this project on for a regular client Hilco, as the building's receiver trusted TRS to complete significant and challenging clearance in a short time frame, reducing the site's fire risk to an acceptable level as demanded by the underwriter and insurer. Ian has also managed other projects for the firm including clearances for HMV and Jager.

Shea Smith - Retail & Shopfitting


Shea is a qualified carpenter and shopfitter who also had a tiger rugby union club job as a physio and trainer traveling the globe with the teams on tour and on roadshows. At the beginning of the pandemic, Shea joined TRS full time to assist in the clearance of Debenhams stores and concessions. Later managing the removal of John Richards jewellery concessions for refitting and repurpose into Next sites.


Quickly and efficiently allocated to our storage facilities prior to being selected for reinstallation into Next sites nationwide. Shea managed the removal pre-installation project work from 40 sites and the actual refitting in 10 in just 2 weeks. The new client Jon Richards and Next were both impressed by his friendly approach and mature attitude for a young man in his mid 20’s. The installation projects requiring Shopfitting and design skills will suit Shea's ability to manage projects with multiple sites and changing client demands.

Shea is a keen rugby player himself and enjoys travel and an active social life is happy to work away on sites or from our TRS depot reworking used fittings or managing the manufacture of new fittings to make clients projects happen. Shea also follows motorsport and enjoys F1 and classic cars.

Charlie Pierpoint - Managing Director


Charlie has worked in the business since a child but took on a management role several years ago initially concentrating on sales which he did at the same time he was an undergraduate at Point Blank University in London where he fulfilled his passion for a degree in Music Production.

Since identifying the increasing demand for quality commercial refrigeration for the expanding retail convenience sector his plan was to concentrate on TRS initiative to actively expand sources from all over the world to expand to the supply for the UK market for sales of refrigeration. Since then he has developed several European sources for supply and sold thousands of units to new customers responding to over a million enquiries a month at our busiest period . Charlie although only early 20’s has developed TRS into the country's leading supplier of used chest, overhead /cabinet glass door freezers and chillers and with the European market being important for supply and also sales, he manages millions of pounds of sales giving our clients the best quality available with value solutions and a no nonsense or giving of any unrealistic promises to ensure client satisfaction.

Charlie recently became a significant shareholder but also the Managing Director of TRS ltd and is now responsible for the day to day running and overall TRS business operations which are developing into existing markets but also into new and growth markets the management team has identified in retail & distribution related activities.


With a future plan to expand and develop the business into a wider range of services for clients with retail expansion plans, Charlie is actively sourcing new supply routes and training for our staff and management to be fully in front of new techniques and technology. Charlie grew up in the environment of TRS & its Manor Farm base but now has a residential address in Market Harborough.

Mark Pierpoint - Executive Director


Mark established TRS then based in Coventry in 1987 and incorporated the thriving business into TRS Ltd in 1994 at the same moving to its office 20m and buying a warehouse base and yard in a village directly on the A5 very near Rugby, Lutterworth & Hinckley & on the Leics & Warks border.


As MD 33 years later he still works in the operations of the business, managing the clients needs from the farmhouse on site where most of the team are based & storage and smaller vehicles run from. Mark always enjoys the challenge of a new project whilst maintaining the relationships he has built with many retailers, insolvency professionals associates in the Transport and storage industry.

Pat Lee - Office Manager


Pat joined the team in 2009, originally as part time admin assistant but now as the Company Secretary, Pat runs the finance, H&R and ensures day to day operations run smoothly especially when the business has many varied sites and projects on the go at once.
